ALPHA is the codename of the British Director of Intelligence - Special Operations Division (Section 06). A former RAF pilot, he quit the service in the early 2000s as a Colonel and joined the Intelligence Service. ALPHA recruited special agent Anzhelika N. Volkova (codenamed BLUE ANGEL), who worked in reconnaissance and SIGINT decoding.
