Tharelian War

Tharelian War

The Tharelian War began on the 22nd day of the 10th month of 3026 BC, two Tharelian days after Thar Shvar.
The context
The Constitution of Surnah allows local chiefs to have their armed forces, with limited firepower. But clandestine agreements with Blue governments allowed militias like The Flock to adapt nuclear batteries to heavy weaponry. In this way, the balance of power began to tip unofficially towards Surnah, whose government ignored the increase in military power of local lords. Nopah responded and suspended the sale of ammunition and aircraft to Surnah. In retaliation, The Flock and other rebel groups invaded Nopah territory. Erlah immediately bombarded civilian positions in the region of Surnarah, the capital of Surnah. Surnah's response was to organize a series of nuclear attacks on the capital Erinah, which decimated its civilian population.
Deaths due to war
The Tharelian War killed 62.51% of the Tharelian population or 5,252,694,730 inhabitants. Losses by nation:
Nopah: 2,434,628,800 (96.05%)
Erlah: 1,519,447,350 (96.81%)
Surnah: 1,298,618,580 (30.21%)
Consequences of the conflict
Nopah's advanced industry was destroyed. Erlah populations living in Greater Narah were virtually decimated. But two-thirds of Surnah's population survived, thanks to the isolation of the populations and the presence of vast forests in the north of the continent. There is no evidence of radiation effects in the region occupied by the An'Hal.
