Thar Shvar

Thar Shvar, or “The Soul of Thar,” is the most important date in Tharelia, celebrated on the 20th day of the 10th month. The date commemorates the sacrifice of Thar the Elder to unify the tribes of Tharelia.
The Makhbath
Thar of Narah, also known as Thar the Elder, who lived 3,000 years ago in the Erinah Valleys, wrote the Makhbath, or “The Received Doctrine,” inspired by the Guardians of Time. The sacred texts discuss various aspects of the people’s lives, from the hierarchy of souls to the unification of the primitive tribes. Thar believed in Yemith, the communion between people and nature, and the Shvar, the Great Soul who created Tharelia at the beginning of time. In certain passages, the sacred texts describe Thar’s experiences with Therianthropy, or the transformation of humans into animals.
By establishing several madrakhs, or schools of theological thought and study, Thar organised a resistance against the local war chiefs. He was soon seen as a rebel, imprisoned and sentenced to death by the chief of Narah. On the day of his execution at the edge of the Erinah Valley, hundreds of followers appeared. The soldiers threw Thar into the abyss, who fell shouting “Thar Shvar!”. His followers did the same, throwing themselves into the valley to certain death. Suddenly, a flock of eagles appeared from the depths of the valley, attacking the chief of Narah and his soldiers, piercing their eyes with their talons.
Inspired by the Makhbath, the Three Tribes were reunified and the planet came to be called “Tharelia,” or “The Land of Thar.”
Today, Tharelians celebrate the date by reciting passages from the Makhbath, listening to music, and observing a veal-based diet.
